I thought I could add this to the sidebar but I either can't do it or, more likely, can't figure out how. So, per Kyle's request, here is a short video of Thompson Family football.

Spring Break

Spring Break started off with us trying to get rid of the last traces of that pesky eye virus. By Tuesday, we were sick of being inside and ready to play! Daddy and Abbie spent time on the trampoline (Abbie's favorite thing to do now).

Kyle came home Wednesday morning from a short visit with his mom. He was stuck inside part of the time too so he was feeling ready to play as well. We headed out to the Springs Preserve to play with George, Lulu and Ruby.

Thursday morning, we flew to Reno for a short visit. We arrived late afternoon and spent the rest of the day getting settled. Friday morning we headed out for a visit to Virginia City. We took a mine tour and visited the Mark Twain Museum.

Friday night we went over to our friends Katie & Martin's house for dinner. We hung out while the kids played in their super fun backyard.

On Saturday, we met Katie & Caedon at the movies for Horton Hears a Who. It was Abbie's first movie theater experience and all and all a good one. Later that afternoon, we hunted for eggs in Grandma's backyard, colored with chalk on her patio and decorated rice krispie treats before meeting Katie & Caedon at the park for a picnic dinner and some playtime.

Easter morning we had a little bit of time to play and eat breakfast with Aunt Susie before we headed to the airport for the flight home. Reno was a lot of fun. We probably packed too much in as we were all exhausted on the trip home and Grandma's house looked like a tornado hit when we left.

About an hour after we landed, it was off to Grandma & Grandpa Marz's house for Easter dinner. Everyone was there including Aunt Kara & Uncle Allan and Dona Johnson, a family friend, and Cassie, Sam's roomate.

Dinner was yummy and we all got wonderful treats from easter bunnies Grandma & Grandpa. Kyle, Abbie and Daisy were all happy to find that the Easter Bunny didn't forget them even while we were in Reno. They each had a basket of gifts and treats he left them at our house.

It was wonderfully fun but super exhausting. We are all mega-pooped today but enjoying our fun memories.

Stuck Inside

Kyle woke up Monday morning with a crusty red eye. Turned out to be an eye virus (not pink eye) that kept him, and all of us, home for two days. I got a call from the school yesterday and it's moved to the other eye. Abbie woke up this morning with her eye crusty and red so even more at home time for the Thompson family. Below is a photo and video of what we've been up to trying to keep busy while the weather outside has been beautiful.

PS - Daddy has been out of town all week so although Abbie is bummed to still be inside, at least she has her daddy to play with....Mommy and Daisy are getting awfully boring.

Three Months Old

Daisy is three months old today. She is turning into less of a newborn and more of a baby. Here are seven things about Daisy:
*She likes to smile and laugh. I have a hard time getting photos of it (Tripp keeps saying we need a better camera and I think he is right!) but she smiles a giggles quite a bit these days.
*She loves getting loves from her brother and sister.
*She has the same nose, lips, cheeks and chin that Abbie did at her age.
*She has huge, pretty blue eyes. They are getting darker and darker so I know they will turn brown eventually but for now, they are the deepest shade of blue.
*She is generally a pretty happy baby. She loves to be held but will sit and hang out in her chair, swing, stroller or carseat as well.
*She is loved by her big sister. Abbie will tell me when Daisy is sad...even when she causes it. She doesn't like Daisy being sad.
*She is a sweet little baby and an absolute blessing in our home. Even Kyle (who desperately wanted a brother and still does) loves little Daisy to death. Just like her name (after her mom's favorite, the friendly flower), Daisy is a friendly, happy, cheery little daughter/sister to be around.

A Visit From Lindsay & Nate

Lindsay and Nate came by today to borrow a few things for Uncle Wes. Although we live not too far from one another, I really never see them (I take 100% of the blame for that).

Anyhoo, they came by and the kids played for awhile. Abbie enjoyed serving Lindsay and Nate vegetables but didn't have enough time to sit them down for tea.

Daisy came down just before they left for a snuggle with Aunt Lindsay.
