I've noticed this recent "Tagging" phase on some other blogs and have been blissfully watching from afar as I'm not too keen on talking about myself. I even took the step of mentioning it a few months ago and giving out information on my kids to help avoid it. I guess all good things must come to and end as now I've been tagged by my sister-in-law Jenn (don't think I won't call you out). So here we go....

What is the best thing you cooked last week?
Probably taco salad. It's a family favorite and I haven't made it in awhile.

If time, money and babysitting were no object, where would you go?
That's tough...Tripp and I have been wanting to go to Germany to visit the Reschke's, my host family, and to England to see my friend Tracy and her family. We also want to head over to Australia to see our friends Caz & Keith. But I guess if time wasn't an object either, I would load up Lindsay, Wes, Nate, Sam, Tara, Scott, Jake, Tripp and our kids and head out to Florida for two weeks at Disney World and one week on the Disney Cruise Line. We would stay at one of the Disney World resorts and have enough time enjoy all the water adventures but take in every single one of the parks as well for at least two days.

When was the last time you cried?
About ten minutes ago.

List five things you were doing 10 years ago (1998):
1. Working night and day at Station Casino Kansas City. I seriously worked nights, weekends, and holidays to work my way up the corporate ladder. It sucked but it worked...I got promoted to my first manager position shortly thereafter and gained a ton of experience that you just don't get at a 9 to 5 job.
2. I think that is the summer my family took our first "Family Summer Vacation" with all of us girls being a little older. We went to Southern California if I'm not mistaken.
3. That's it...I truly did nothing that year but work my butt off. Maybe took in a homecoming at Mizzou...Amy, Christen or Kelly would probably remember.

List five things you were doing five years ago (2003):
1. Took a trip to Disneyland with Tara.
2. Met Tripp & Kyle.
3. Took a trip to Disneyland with Tripp and got engaged.
4. Took at trip to Hawaii with Brooke Shaull.
5. Spent tons of time with sweet Tilly dog.

List five things you were doing one year ago:
1. Carried around sweet Daisy for 9+ months.
2. Adopted crazy Reggie.
3. Lost my Grandma.
4. Spent a weekend with Tripp's entire family.
5. Watched my fabulous friend Tara marry her soulmate, Scott. Outside of Daisy, maybe one of the best things to happen in 2007.

List seven hobbies:
1. I'm not sure I actually have hobbies...does running count? I don't really love it but I continue to do it.
2. Read
3. Cook and bake (when I'm not pregnant).
4. The Grocery Game (one I'm hoping to develop)
5. Travel
6. Recycling, saving the environment.
7. Gardening (another I'm hoping to develop)

Name five favorite foods:
1. Salad
2. Sushi
3. Pizza
4. Mexican Food
5. Ice Cream

Name five places you've been:
1. Germany
2. Europe (England, Italy, France, Belgium, etc........)
3. Hawaii
4. Key West
5. Cancun

Five favorite memories:
1. Growing up with Katie Riley as a friend...her family graciously took me on all types of trips and hikes. She was (and is) so smart, kind and adventurous...so much fun to be around. I just dig her and always have. She's made some great memories for me (hiking with her dad and dog up to Hunter Lake!)
2. Speaking to people in Germany and realizing that I finally do speak fluently (it really sneaks up on you).
3. Meeting and marrying Tripp (the Salt Lake Temple in particular).
4. The Disneyland trip with Tripp, Tara and Sam. I'm not sure I've ever laughed so hard in my life. Snow, rain, swamp crotch, who could ask for more fun?
5. The addition of my two girls to our family.

Okay, now it's my turn to tag. I should be kind and let everyone I know off the hook but I won't. So, Lindsay, Sam, Christen H. and Nikki B., you're it!

That was great to read. It's nice to get to know you as an adult when my memories are mostly of you as a child.

I believe it was about ten years ago that you and I jumped in car to race to Columbia to save Amy, our dearest friend, from complete despair from a broken engagement only to realize she was doing just fine and loving life, becoming who she was supposed to be. We were devestated to know that she in fact did not need us to pick her up off the floor. Yet, I believe somewhere in the midst of our devastation I believe we had a good time. If nothing else, some quality Ali and Christen time....Amy and I just had the discussion not to long ago...friendships that span decades is a remarkable, rare thing..I'm so glad to be able to call you a friend, but more so a lifetime friend.

P.S. I agree with Lindsay, so glad to read about YOU!!!! I love reading about your family, but I love to read about you too!!!
